Why Contribute to Cantabile?

Cantabile’s performance season includes performances at local nursing homes and public schools.  Our members donate their time and talent, oftentimes during working hours to bring music programs and musical education to citizens in our communities. Recent examples include special concerts for senior citizens at The Parker Home at Stonegate, the McCarrick Care Center, and the Spring Hills Senior Community.

Cantabile has implemented a series of choral singing programs for elementary and middle school youth. In the past these children have performed at senior citizen assisted living residences and also performed with the adult chorale at its regular concerts.

Cantabile members contribute time and talent for all rehearsals and performances, and fund a significant portion of the group’s annual expenses. Concert ticket sales and program advertisements defray a small portion of our expenses.

Cantabile’s contribution to the community is recognized by arts organizations state-wide, leading to funding support from the Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission, in partnership with the New Jersey Council on the Arts / Department of State, and The New Jersey Cultural Trust, a division of the Department of State.

Cantabile depends on support from its members, individual donors, businesses, foundations and governmental agencies to be able to continue to serve the area, and is organized as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit entity.
